Bamfield is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island and is minutes away from what the pros call the ‘Salmon Highway’. Large schools of Coho, Sockeye and Spring salmon pass by Bamfield on their way to the spawning rivers on the lower mainland and the northern USA. These salmon migrations are seasonal and fluctuate from year to year so it’s best to contact salmon guide Mark to book a trip to target your favorite salmon species. - His experience fishing on the West Coast of British Columbia dates back to late 70s, when he was working on commercial trollers and gained the rank of Captain.
- When not guiding guests, he is searching for that next sportfishing hot spot.
- Along with years of experience, Mark is a Certified Angling Guide (CTAG) and has current Marine First Aid certification.
